Sweet and Savory Pumpkin Spread

1 can of chickpeas (about 1.5c)

1/2c canned pureed pumpkin

1/4c extra virgin olive oil

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1/2 tsp sea salt


1. Drain chickpeas and rinse in a colander. While the chickpeas are draining, open the can of pumpkin puree and add to a blender. 

2. Add the chickpeas, salt, olive oil and pumpkin pie spice. 

3. Pulse to blend until the mixture is creamy. Serve with sliced apples, whole grain bread or crackers.
